BI Certification

Is BI ripe for a its own certification? While OCP has matured both for DBA's and Developers, there is no Oracle certification path for BI/DW professionals. Siebel used to have certified Siebel developers.

Due to some recent inappropriate registrations, we are verifying e-mail addresses before granting access to the BI SIG Web site. To participate in community discussions, you must be a registered member and that means a verifiable e-mail address.

Also registration is not immediate. You can create a user account, but your account information is reviewed and verified prior to authorization. This process usually takes around 2 to 4 hours. Thanks, BI SIG Webmaster

This article claims that despite many executives' belief that BI can assist with decision making in their companies, it is failing to do just that. What do you think? Is the research on to something important about BI?
